Hi Park Pals!

Well a beautiful weekend is in store for a great volunteer work session this Sunday from 10-2. There will plenty to do with weeding, mowing, edging and litter patrol and we will also be restoring one of our veggie garden beds. Whatever we’re doing on Sundays to keep this community space thriving and vibrant, we need your help to do! The Park needs an average of 8-10 volunteers every week to keep it looking in top form. When that average dips, the maintenance does too. Come on out on Sundays and show your pride and caring in Olympia’s first private neighborhood park, WCP!

Don’t forget about the West Oly Farm Market, on Saturday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. Saturday mornings from 10-1 and Tuesdays from 4-7 the freshest of West Olympia produce, seafood, dairy, poultry, starts, crafts, flowers and more!! Don’t miss it, bring your basket and get some salad to last till the next market. Parking is available on the south end of the block. Please enter on 4th Avenue from Cushing Street.

Rosie’s Food Truck is going strong from 11-4 every week day and some weekends too. She winning tummies and hearts all over town will her delectable and original BBQ creations. Make it a lunch date at WCP!

Recently Park President Alicia Elliott was interviewed on KXXO about the West Central Park and the development on the block. You can listen to the interview here:

Don’t forget this Park is a nonprofit charity that operates on donations of time and money. Maintenance and minor capitol projects such as rain gardens, and garden beds, are accomplished by all of our own hands and tender, loving care. Lets keep this oasis lovely Olympia!
