An Important Announcement from Our Founder

Dear Park Neighbors-

I have a bit of important news regarding the upcoming Night at the Park Side Cafe event on Friday, December 21st. City officials came up to the cafe yesterday and explained some key factors to us that we didn’t understand clearly at first. That our occupancy would be strictly limited to 55 until we have our exterior stair built. This stair will not be ready for install until the last week of January. So that basically means we can’t have a large event at the building on that night as we had hoped. It’s a disappointment, however, we respect the laws the City has in place for public safety and plan to cooperate fully with them.

That might seem like a bit of bad news, but there is good news in it too.  We can still offer tours and sneak peaks of the cafe on the night of the 21st from 5-7 and then still hold the full event at a nearby venue from 6-midnight. The venue change will be announced by Monday. All ticket holders will need to show their tickets at the door to get a tour of the building and then keep their tickets to get into the event at the new nearby location.

The show will go on! At two locations! At the new nearby venue TBA, there will be an amazing silent auction full of local art, hand crafted vegan appetizers from the Park Side Cafe staff, local wines, beer and cocktails and three awesome Olympia bands! All to raise money for the West Central Park, a 501c3 public charity that is dedicated to serving the community in which it sits and one which envisions a green, walkable neighborhood with resilient connections. Plan a fun date night out contributing to a great cause! Tickets are still available at Vic’s on the Westside, Phoebe’s on Division and the Olympia Frame Makers on Harrison.

Thanks for your understanding and please don’t hesitate to write us at if you have any questions or concerns at all.
