Big Weekend at West Central Park! Day of Caring and Harvest Fest!


Big weekend coming up at West Central Park starting tomorrow, October 1st. Bright and early at 8 am at the Park the United Way Day of Caring 2016 will begin with the all-crew volunteer breakfast kick off at 8am. Breakfast will be hosted by Phoebe’s Pastry Cafe with delicious coffee and pastries. Start your day of caring off right with a tummy full of yummy from Phoebe! Right after breakfast the volunteering will begin! We will have over 30 volunteers at WCP to help us complete our new cross path parkway! It will be a welcome and inviting touch to the Park, so come be a part of it.

Sunday, October 2nd, from 12-4 the Park will be hosting its third annual Harvest Fest with apple pressing, cider making, seed swap and sharing,veggie swap and share, mushroom cultivation workshop, hugelkultur workshop, edible landscape tour, natural beekeeping workshop and the incredible, edible, community stone soup! Come help us share in the harvest with the whole neighborhood and that includes you!
