Who is getting excited for spring? We are! Embrace your inner child and come play in the dirt with us this Sunday from 11am to 1pm! We’ve got an excavator coming to help dig up the hugelkultur beds to make way for new projects this spring. There will be several other general maintenance projects to work on as well.
Local Honey for Sale
We still have several containers of honey for sale following the unfortunate death of our neighborhood bee colony this past fall. The market pricing is $2.50 an ounce, but we’re providing this delicacy on a sliding scale, pay what you can rate. All proceeds from honey sales go directly to the purchase of a new queen bee and colony for this spring at the park. If you would like to purchase some, please contact Joanna at firstname.lastname@example.org to set-up a time to purchase yours!
February 18 Biochar Workshop
We will be hosting a special biochar workshop on Sunday, February 18 at 11am at the park, same time and place as our regular scheduled work party. Come join our compost team for a free workshop on compost and biochar chemistry, creation, and application. Plus, we’ll be cooking food to share and enjoy on the char stove!
