Happy Friday park peeps!
First and foremost, we want to share our gratitude for the generosity we’ve received in response to our last post calling for help. To everyone who has donated this past week and come out to the park to volunteer, thank you so very much! It gives us a restored hope for the future of this park. We still have a long ways to go though. Come on by this Sunday from 10am to 2pm for our weekly work party to keep the park looking lovely for all to enjoy!
Also, just a reminder that there is no concert happening this Saturday. But the summer concert series will resume on August 18 at 7:30pm with Mukana Marimba, Artesian Rumble Arkestra, and The Luminary Parade. Since the Luminary Parade was rained out at the spring Art’s Walk, they will be joining us for a delightful parade at 9pm at the park and concert goers are encouraged to join in!
There’s still fun to be had this coming week though with the next feature in our Monday Movie Madness series. Come join us Monday, August 13 at 8:30pm for Black Panther! After the death of his father, T’Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king — and as Black Panther — gets tested when he’s drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.
