The Show Must Go On

The Show Must Go On | West Central Park Project

Hope everyone has been able to stay safe and warm this past week with the unexpected storms and snow days! Unfortunately due to the weather, we had to cancel last weekends events at the park. But the show must go on!

This weekend we’re getting back to work on the garden bed projects. We will be having our regular scheduled winter work party on Sunday from 11am to 1pm. Depending on if the ground is frozen or not, we would like to move forward with digging for the Senior Services garden project and we need all hands on deck to get it completed. However, if the weather is still too cold we will be doing modified park maintenance including some indoor activities.

We’ve also rescheduled the biochar workshop for this Sunday. Come join Heather Wood from OlySunrise Compost Concierge along with biochar experts Rick Fellows and Tim Thetford for a free workshop. They will be demonstrating and teaching on this 2000 year old practice and even cooking up some grub on the biochar stove to share!

Please be aware, that with the unpredictable weather, we will do our best to notify everyone via our facebook page if there is any changes to scheduled events. If you’re not already connected with us, please follow us here:
