Time to Light Up the Night!

Time to Light Up the Night | West Central Park Project

Good Afternoon Olympia,

It’s going to be a super fun weekend at the park! This Saturday we will be hosting an extra special concert including Mukana Marimba, the Artesian Rumble Arkestra, and Olympia’s own Luminary Parade crew! Since the Luminary Parade was rained out at the spring Art’s Walk, they will be joining us for a delightful parade during our concert. The music starts at 7:30pm and the parade begins at 9pm. And concert goers are highly encouraged to join in!

Sunday we will be having our regularly scheduled work party from 10am to 2pm for grounds maintenance, gardening, and post concert cleanup. Then for Monday Movie Madness we’re showing Happy Feet! Son of Memphis and Norma, little sweet penguin Mumble has a big problem: he can’t sing a single note. In a world where everyone needs a heart song to attract a soul mate, Mumble feels he doesn’t belong there. Our hero Mumble is the worst singer in the world, but he can tap dance brilliantly. Bring your cozy blankets, cuddle up, and munch on some WCP dollar popcorn for a fun evening with the family! Show starts at dusk, but come get your seat early if possible!
