Volunteer Work Parties: A Great Way to Help WCP!

The West Central Park is always kept looking good because of a determined handful of local people who love this neighborhood oasis.  Thanks to the hearts and muscles of the folks that have shown up every Sunday for the past year, we have accomplished tasks like placing the logs, building flower beds, painting murals, building new beds, planting trees and shrubs, digging drainage ditches, moving top soil, mulch and gravel by shovel and wheelbarrow, building compost bins, benches and picnic tables, watering trees, shrubs and flowers, weeding and mowing and so much more!  As we wait for our funding and our tax exempt status, there is no end to what many hands can do in the mean time, we can build and maintain a community park! Join us at our very next work party, on Sunday, April 6th, from 10 -1, bring your gloves and we’ll provide the tools and snacks.

Thanks Olympia!
