Hello Park Pals-

Tomorrow looks to be a beautiful day for our weekly maintenance session from 10-2 at the Park. We will need to mow the grass, rake out our tilled soil to remove any dandelions, pick up litter, and take care of the torching. Come on out to help and get some fresh air while you help take care of our community oasis.

Exciting progress is being made on the south end of the block with a new 19 space parking area nearing completion. The parking area and the alley have been resurfaced with 100% recycled pervious paving grids made in the USA. This pervious pavement system new in Olympia and this will be the first place in town that it will be installed in a public right of way. The parking lot will have entry and exit from 4th Ave, and a right turn out onto Division exit as well. The lot will be ready to use by mid April. Just in time for the West Oly’s Farmer’s Market’s arrival in mid May.

Look for some new food truck action at West Central Park coming this month! Rosie’s Joint, Oly Go-Juice, and the return of Rodney’s Soul BBQ will be gracing the Park with their yummy treats! Stop by the Park when you see them and make them feel welcome in the neighborhood. The food trucks will be easily accessed by high level city transit and have the benefit of wide on street parking as well as a brand new 19 space parking area less than 200 feet away. Plan on lunch at WCP soon!

See you around the Park!
