The weather should be perfect for another Sunday work party, July 24th from 10-2. We’ll be out at the Park mowing, edging, weeding, torching the event area and tending and watering the plants. Our fruit trees are bearing some ripe fruit and some will be ready to harvest tomorrow. Come spare a couple hours to help us keep this corner looking lush and lovely for the whole community to enjoy!
On Monday, the third in our Monday Movie Madness series will feature the movie Hair. The original 70’s musical will be a blast from the past with songs a lot of us old fogies know. Song print outs will be available for the pure sing a long potential of it all! Previews begin at 9 with a possible surprise performance and the showing is at 10pm. Bring your chairs and blankets and best buddies and enjoy the best in walk in theatre under the stars. Popcorn and tea will be available
Don’t forget about the West Olympia Farmers’ Market each Tuesday from 4-7 and every Saturday from 11-2. The best in West Oly produce, dairy, crafts, seafood, herbs, and a whole lot more! Parking is available on the south end of the block, with the entrance to that parking on 4th Avenue. Bring your shopping basket and make a habit of supporting your most local farmers every Tuesday and Saturday at West Central Park.
Don’t forget this little Park is completely community owned and operated. By being under the ownership of a 501c3 Nonprofit charity, WCP can be run and operated by the very community members that it serves. Find out more about how you can serve the Park by being a board or committee member, at our Sunday work parties or by writing to email@example.com We’d love to hear from you!
