West Central Park Weekly Update #119

Hey Park Fans!

The Sunday work party tomorrow is on from 11-1 and we’ll be finishing up the new information kiosk rain or shine. Some of you may have seen it as you drive past. When finished, this will be a new spot for info sharing. The Park Board will generate weekly info blurbs to put up and the community will be free to use it as well for advertising or spreading the word about anything. Come add your roofing skills tomorrow! There is more new mulch to spread on the beds too and still lots of pruning, tidying and transplanting work to do.  There are two neighboring kiwi vines that have been donated to the Park and we can hopefully get them moved to their new home in the hugelkulture garden area.

Don’t forget about our upcoming mini bee and bird house work shop, the last Sunday in January. It will be during regular work party hours, 11-1.  The houses will be small enough to carry easily and will be made of natural materials. Come make a little bird or bee home for your own yard and one for the Park!  There are still a few spaces left,  and the workshop is free, so sign up today!

The Fundraising, Arts and Public Relations Committees need you!  If you have some special talents that you would like to share with West Central Park, don’t be shy!  This corner plot is a community owned palette for whatever creation we all can envision together.  Let’s make it the best it can be.
