West Central Park Weekly Update #127

Hello Park Pals!

With Spring just about to burst wide open, there is plenty to do at West Central Park. Our weekly Sunday work party is on tomorrow from 11-1. This Sunday, March 20th at the corner of Harrison and Division, volunteers will be gathering to help care for this little patch of green. If there is no rain, we will be taking care of much needed mowing and weeding chores. If it pours, we will be inside cleaning the final three tents. If you come out tomorrow some fun community service work is guaranteed!

Next, mark your calendars for Gloria Dei Lutheran’s Easter Sunrise Service at West Central Park on Sunday, March 27th at 6 am sharp. This will be the third year in a row that Gloria Dei’s pastor team Doug and Molly Knutson-Keller will be offering their special sunrise service to the whole community. Its always a beautiful offering, and worth getting up early for!

In other news, our PR committee just got rolling and has some exciting goals for getting the Park Project more connected with you! From increased articles in local magazines and papers, to national exposure this action oriented group is ready to roll! If you think you have some skill to offer this committee let us know. Photographers please apply!

The West Central Park Project, a 501(c)3, is working hard to accomplish its mission daily. To provide an open, public, green space that can serve the recreational, educational and creative needs of the community in which it sits is of prime importance to us. Every work party, workshop, event, and market that we bring to you, is part of that mission. West Olympia, this is your Park, come help us make it something lovely we all can share.
