This weather has been pretty wild with the sunshine to freezing cold temperatures, rain, hail, and even snow! But we know warmer weather is just around the corner so we’re going hard with prepping the park for planting! We’ll be meeting this Sunday for our regularly scheduled work party from 10am to 2pm. Hope to see you there!
Bees & Wasps Update
Thanks to everyone who came and helped make wasp traps last week. We’ve got the park and surrounding properties setup with traps to help reduce the wasp population in the neighborhood this year. Heather Wood will be coming to setup the new hives over the next few weeks to welcome our new honey bee colonies!
We also still have a few containers of honeycomb left for sale from last year’s hive. Please note: the containers include both the honey and honeycomb. Both are edible and useful for a variety of things though! If you’re interested in purchasing some to help support the park, please email Joanna at firstname.lastname@example.org.
West Central Park Library
Our little library has been up for a week now and it’s starting to get some traffic and donations! Do you have any suitable books you’re looking to get rid of? Come stick them in the library! And don’t forget to grab a new one from the stash when you stop by!
